Infinity Volleyball Academy wrapped up the 2014 season at the Happy Volley Championships at Penn State University. It was quite a successful journey and a great way to wrap up the club season.
Our 14 Blue team finished 17th out of 79 teams in the 14′s age group. This is quite an accomplishment as they had 3 players travel and play from the 13 Blue team.
The 16 Blue team finished up 19th out of 32 teams in 16 Open. Day 1, they missed staying in the gold bracket by 2 points, but fought hard on day 2 and in the playoffs, and played very well.
17 Black continued it’s strong play, and finished up 3rd out of 54 teams in the 17 Club division. This group has played excellent all year, and this was a great way to finish such an amazing season for them.
17 Blue saved their best for the end of the season. All of the hard work throughout the season paid off as they took 2nd place out of 21 teams in the 17 Open division to collect the silver medal. At times, they looked unbeatable as they fought hard on day 2 to stay in the gold bracket, beating the #1 team from the entire state of Michigan. In playoffs, they fought off an 0-1 deficit to come back and beat Synergy in an entertaining 3rd game. They lost in the finals to the #1 team in the Keystone and GEVA regions, Digs 17 Red.
We are so proud of these teams, and all of the Infinity teams this season!
Congratulations to the Infinity teams who participated in the 2014 Asics NEQ Qualifier!
